Meet Your Provider

Kelsey Dressel, MSW, LICSW, has spent her career helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most challenging moments. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University in 2010 and has worked across hospital settings, integrated mental health care in primary care clinics, and private practice.
Over the years, Kelsey witnessed firsthand how hard individuals and families work to find answers, and how often the path to an ADHD diagnosis felt long, complex, and expensive. That experience planted a seed.
Focus Forward Mental Health Services grew out of a simple belief: getting clarity shouldn't be this hard. After discovering Qbtech's FDA-cleared, objective testing technology, Kelsey saw an opportunity to create a streamlined, accessible testing process. One that meets clients where they are and helps them move forward with confidence.

Our Approach
At Focus Forward Mental Health Services, we combine compassionate clinical care with objective ADHD testing to provide a thoughtful and comprehensive evaluation process for children, teens, and adults ages 8–60 throughout Minnesota.
Evaluations begin with a detailed diagnostic interview guided by the DIVA-5, an evidence-based ADHD assessment framework designed to explore real-life experiences with attention, executive functioning, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and daily functioning across childhood and adulthood. Rather than relying solely on questionnaires, we take time to understand how symptoms show up in everyday life, relationships, school, work, and routines.
As part of the evaluation process, we also utilize QbCheck technology, an innovative assessment tool that combines attention measurement and motion tracking to provide objective data related to attention, activity level, and impulse control. The computerized assessment is completed from the comfort of your home and typically takes 15–20 minutes.
By combining clinical expertise, structured interviewing, rating scales, and objective testing data, Focus Forward provides a streamlined and approachable evaluation process designed to help individuals gain clarity, understanding, and personalized next steps.
